ZedaSoft® Awarded Sub-Contract for AMBL’s AH-64 Combat Mission Simulator

(Fort Worth, Texas – January 25, 2010) ZedaSoft, Inc. has been awarded a subcontract from SAIC to upgrade the Air Maneuver Battle Lab’s (AMBL) AH-64A simulator to AH-64D configuration.

This development takes advantage of ZedaSoft’s patented CBA® for simulation software for rapid development capabilities and provides a stable modular simulation platform to assist in future AMBL studies.

The AH-64A upgrade to AH-64D simulator includes:

  • Hosting software for the executive and timing services for the virtual cockpit model
  • Support Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) protocol version
  • Generating constructive Threat and Friendly entities
  • Mission Overview & Instructor/Experimenter Operation Station (I/EOS) which consists of:
    • Common Operational Picture (COP)
    • Color maps of battle space
    • Entity insertions (MANPAD, SAM, Threat aircraft)
    • Virtual cockpit repeater views
  • Integrate, test and refine new Bihrle Applied Research flight model
  • Develop and integrate AH64D Mission Equipment Package (MEP) and avionics weapons page formats to support tactical simulation of the M230 30mm chain gun, Hydra 70 2.75" rockets and HELLFIRE missiles.
