ZedaSoft® awarded Contract to Integrate the VP-400 Autopilot into the FAA Advanced General Aviation Research Simulator (AGARS)
(Fort Worth, Texas – July 1, 2013) ZedaSoft, Inc., a simulation and visualization software company announces the award of a contract to integrate the Vertical Power VP-400, a next-generation backup EFIS into the FAA Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Advanced General Aviation Research Simulator (AGARS).
ZedaSoft is using its patented CBA® for Simulation software to stimulate the VP-400 device with simulated ADHRS and GPS data. The backup EFIS system is designed to fly the aircraft to the best airfield in an emergency in case of engine failure, integrated avionics failure, pilot incapacitation, or difficult weather conditions. Integration is currently underway at CAMI in Oklahoma City, where it will be tested winter 2013-2014.
We’re excited to be working with ZedaSoft and the FAA on this project,” said Marc Ausman, President of Vertical Power. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of the VP-400 in emergency situations.”
ZedaSoft has found great acceptance of its CBA® framework in avionics laboratory and business development communities as it easily supports the mission systems design, avionics testing, handling qualities and training systems infrastructure from one set of source code. ZedaSoft has been a successful contractor to the FAA for over a decade.
ZedaSoft develops innovative products for the simulation and visualization industry.
Its customers include Lockheed Martin, Boeing, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Federal
Aviation Administration, and other defense, Government and commercial organizations.
ZedaSoft’s main goal is to strike the proper balance between realistic simulation
and cost-effective deployed solutions utilizing modern simulation architecture.
