Portable Simulator Desktop (PSD)
ZedaSoft produces a portable simulator station called the Portable Simulator Desktop (PSD), also known as the "Sim In a Box". The base unit starts with an instrument panel monitor and a single visual scene channel, and expands to four visual scene channels as shown. The fourth channel can provide either sensor video, radar GM video or an extended vertical FOV.
The base is a portable system which packs in a single travel case per simulator and requires a floor space footprint of less than 30 square feet when set up. The simulator requires less than 45 minutes for standard setup and tear-down by a trained operator. All computer system functions are self-contained and the portable unit requires only two 120 volt US standard power connectors, one network connection to the DMO network and an office chair for the simulator operator. The system is also capable of 230 volt (UK style) power operation using standard voltage convertors, allowing for foreign nation demonstrations and exercises.

The tactical instrumentation and HUD views for multiple US and foreign entity platforms such as F-16, F-22, Su-30, MiG-29, MH-60 and OH-58 are added as plug-ins to the base system. If multiple entity platforms are purchased, the simulator software supports switching between entity platforms contained within a running scenario or when reset to a new scenario. There is no perceivable disruption in the platform flight or weapons functions when switching entities within the scenario, and the switch takes less than five seconds. The instrumentation and HUD views for the simulated platforms support standard navigation and weapon deployment by the operator. The operator interacts with the instrumentation view through a touch screen and low-cost stick and throttle controls. The HUD view is overlaid within the forward visual scene channel view.
PSD Upgrade to a 3-Channel Visual Scene Presentation
ZedaSoft provides an upgrade path to provide 3 channels of visual scene coverage to the pilot. This upgrade includes two additional computers, additional MetaVR IG software licenses, 24" LCD monitors and mounting structure.

Optional 4th Channel Upgrade to PSD
ZedaSoft provides an even further upgrade path to produce a total of 4 channels of visual scene coverage which can be used as radar and sensor channel or to increase the vertical field of view for the pilot. This upgrade includes one additional computer, additional MetaVR visual scene software license, one 24" LCD monitor and 4th channel mounting structure.
